

Schools continue to visit the Medieval Hamam, where the exhibition serves as a major reason for students to explore this unique monument.
Today, students from Leonik School participated in an interactive discussion about layers of history, cultural changes, inherited customs, as well as art, photography, artistic experimentation, and abstraction. Such hands-on experiences allow students to internalize knowledge much more effectively than reading it in books.

Students from 14 Nëntori School visiting the Medieval Hamam were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected presence of photographer Fabrizio Loiacono, whose works were exhibited at the Hamam during September.
Further meetings between Loiacono and young city residents are planned in the coming days, offering additional opportunities for learning and engagement with contemporary photography.

At the Hamam of Durrës, young participants engaged in discussions about the history, traditions, and rituals of the city, while also exploring photography, abstract art, and individual artistic expression. The workshops took place in the presence of Fabrizio Loiacono’s unique photographic works, providing a hands-on, immersive learning experience.
Students from Mihal Ekonomi and Jusuf Puka schools took part in the initial sessions, with more visitors expected in the coming days.

To celebrate June 1st, students from Jusuf Puka 9-Year School performed “Little Stars Speak English” at the Ancient Amphitheater. Guided by their passionate teacher Kozeta Lika, the children showcased their potential, combining language learning with creative expression in a historic setting.
The game “Don’t Get Mad, Durrës”, developed by CHwB Albania in collaboration with the Durrës Museum Center, allowed children to learn about the city’s heritage through play. The activity was part of the “Olympic Games” at 14 Nëntori School, engaging almost all students in a festive and educational atmosphere.

Over 100 children from Jusuf Puka, Vasil Ziu, and Mihal Ekonomi schools, as well as the Nishtulla Community Center, participated in the “From the Past to Play” activity. Through board games with historical characters, artistic workshops using recycled materials, and creative installations, children engaged with Durrës’ cultural heritage in a fun and interactive way. Some also visited the Durrës Hammam, experiencing the city’s heritage firsthand.

Students from Olsi Lasko School explored the Venetian Tower and the Ancient Amphitheater of Durrës, two key tourist attractions. They conducted interviews at each monument and continued with a creative session, performing roles inspired by ancient history.

An informal educational session was held with 6th and 7th-grade students at Planetary School in Durrës. Children explored the digital interpretation of the city’s history, learned in school, and enjoyed an animated film creatively telling this story.

Yesterday, students from Beqir Çela Vocational School completed the second part of their joint educational program with a visit to the Venetian Tower. After a theoretical introduction to Durrës’ rich heritage and its development opportunities, IT students explored the Tower’s digital reality, gaining inspiration to create and discover new models for interpreting and promoting cultural heritage.


Yesterday, an informal educational session was held at 14 Nëntori School with 9th-grade students. The discussion focused on personal and professional development opportunities in the context of the city’s rich heritage and growing cultural tourism. Students were also introduced to the inspiring success story of Ina Ajazi, QMD specialist and former student of the school.
